Grab your weapon of choice and join us for a weekend of Live Action Role Playing (LARP) battle, intrigue, quests, and merriment, and the hospitality of our hosts, the at Mountain Run Winery in Culpeper, Virginia.

And adventure awaits with a return to Nova Regnus, and the world of Osterra.

The Autumn Adventure is a weekend live action role playing experience, designed so that you'll have fun coming out and playing it as a stand-alone event, and as part of the continuing story of the realm.  Perfect for first time adventurers, and seasoned LARP Adventures veterans alike. 

Thursday, gates open at 10:00 am for camp set up throughout the day, role playing and combat in the afternoon and an evening filled with story, role play, and battle, culminating with ritual and feasting.

 

On Friday the event continues with a community breakfast, registration and check in, followed by rules orientation, and then a chance to hone your combat and adventure skills as things get underway. There will be a series of quests, challenges and role play to engage in that will immerse you in the story of the world of Osterra.

Saturday there will be quests and monster hunts! Tell tales of the day’s glory around the bonfire, bring musical instruments, drums, pipes, and strings to make and enjoy live music. Enjoy the winery's fare, drink wine, mead and cider, and enjoy camping for those staying overnight. Plot twists, games of skill and chance, character development and action will continue throughout the evening.

 

Sunday, the fun wraps up with site clean up, packing, and out by 3:00 pm.

Live Action Role Playing (or LARPing) is an unscripted immersive experience where you live the adventure. Your choices on and off the field of play will help shape the story. Friendships will be forged, and alliances tested. With the structure of an easy to learn rules set, called the C.O.M.B.a.T. System, in just a few minutes you'll be in play and immersed in this unparalleled experiential event.  As a participant, you will take on the persona of an inhabitant of the world of Osterra, a character you create. You’ll be able to wear fantasy costumes, engage in quests, mock fights with realistic looking, safe foam LARP weapons.

 

Battles will be won, quests completed, puzzles solved, flagons of mead emptied and indelible memories made. So, come join us for Autumn Adventure, try your hand at challenges both martial and mental, make new friends…and slay them!

Our event organizers have over three decades of experience LARPing, and organizing events. They will combine this experience with the structure of the fantasy world of Osterra and a supporting staff of veteran LARPers to bring you a one-of-a-kind immersive experience. The Autumn Adventure will come to life with replica weapons and armor, period food and drink, and activities that are accessible by those new to LARP, but complex enough to challenge even a grizzled LARP Adventures veteran. This event is open to everyone ages 16+, continuing players and newcomers, with a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
