It's been ages since I've written down my thoughts, but I have so much that's been swirling in my mind that I simply have to write it down.
Since coming to this realm, I've found myself becoming antsy. Aiding Black Sky in establishing themselves has been good for me and allowed me to see a side of society I don't normally get to see, but there's a yearning that's eaten at me. A need to return to my roots, as it were. I make no bones about it, I'm far from the picture of a guild leader. At my core, I'm a simple hunter, a defender of the innocent from things that are sometimes beyond their understanding. Osterra has no shortage of fascinating flora and fauna, and some of it is quite dangerous. It feels like since the opening of the Ebon Gate that the number of dangerous creatures has risen dramatically. Because of this, I felt it necessary to create an order devoted to the study and, if necessary, eradication of the darker forces within Osterra.
And thus the Sanguine Order was born.
It surprised me how quickly my pipe dream has formed into a reality. Within a very short time I was hired to investigate some disappearances. This led to finding a coven of vampires, but also of an arcane forge with which to create silver weapons. With the knowledge and new weapons in hand, myself and my compatriots managed to vanquish them, earning a decent reputation for ourselves. Most recently, Osterra found itself in the midst of an attack from a Loup-Garou, a rare therianthrope capable of infecting people with a very persistent strain of lycanthropy. This creature was difficult to track and infected many, including important figures in at least two factions. However I was not alone in my hunt. An alchemist named Pin came to me, offering his services and knowledge. I reluctantly accepted, finding myself defensive around the mysterious Countess that seemed to be his traveling companion and patron.
With Pin's tinctures and the aid of Wolf, a swordsman from the Wardens who pledged himself to my cause, we hunted down and slayed this creature by the light of the moon, curing the disease affecting my countrymen. Wolf and myself were given the title of 'Moonslayer', a name which I wear with a degree of pride.
Osterra will never truly be rid of monsters. But now they can at least rest easy knowing there is a supernatural vanguard.
